GERMAN SCHOOL FROM BORROMAERINS IN ALEXANDRIA

Modification of the German school in Alexandria

The task was to impelement a large full time school on a limited site.
To solve this task a modern German school with a simple and reserved exterior appearance was integrated into the historic surroundings.
The old part of the house which is a historic protected monument became a part of the new building. In this process it was restructured and used in a new context.
The diversity of the areaways leads to an atmosphere of creativity and relaxation at the same time.
